The Accounting Category feature in Jazalla allows you to define and group your organization’s financial data for more accurate reporting and simplified bookkeeping. Each category links debit and credit accounts under one structured setup — ensuring that all transactions are correctly mapped to your company’s accounting framework.
✅ How to access Accounting Category
This function forms the basis for seamless integration between the Chart of Accounts and Journal Entries, helping maintain consistency and clarity in every financial operation.

Log In: Sign in to your Jazalla account using your credentials on the Jazalla platform.

Navigate to Accounting Management: From the left sidebar menu, click on Accounting Management.

Select Accounting Category: Within the Accounting management, locate and click on accounting category. This will take you to the dedicated page where all available options are displayed.
🧩Accounting Category : The Accounting Category Management section enables you to create, edit, and manage all your accounting categories — defining how transactions are classified between debit and credit accounts. By categorizing your entries properly, you ensure that your balance sheet and income statement remain accurate and aligned with accounting standards.

Create a New Category: To create a new accounting category, click on the “Create Category” button and fill in the required details in the form:

Category Name – Enter a clear name for the category (e.g., Inventory Purchases, Sales Revenue, Payroll Expense).

Category Type – Select the type of category (Asset, Liability, Equity, Revenue, Expense, Cost of Goods Sold).

Debit Information – Choose the debit side configuration:

Account Type: Select the relevant account classification (Asset, Liability, Equity, etc.)

Journal Entry: Specify the related debit journal (e.g., Inventory, Cash, etc.)

Credit Information – Choose the credit side configuration:

Account Type: Select the corresponding credit classification (Asset, Liability, Equity, etc.)

Journal Entry: Specify the related credit journal (e.g., Accounts Payable, Revenue, etc.)

Once all details are entered, click Save to create the new category.

Listing Display : The Accounting Category List View presents all defined categories in a structured and easy-to-read format with the following details:

Category – The name of the accounting category (e.g., Inventory Purchases).

Debit Information – Displays the debit side configuration, including Account Type and Journal Entry.

Credit Information – Displays the credit side configuration, including Account Type and Journal Entry.

Action – Options to Enable/Disable, Edit, or Delete the category
